2023 Annual Appeal

Your investment has had a profound impact on Project LEARN, enabling us to provide life changing educational and career-readiness programming to over 1,200 Lowell students. As a supporter of our mission, you're helping bridge the opportunity gap for Lowell's youth.

As we embark on the next 10 years of work with Lowell youth, we kindly ask for your continued support. The need for experiential learning and skill building opportunities has never been greater, and your contribution ensures our programs remain both sustainable and accessible to all Lowell Public Schools students.

This year marks an important turning point for Project LEARN. We're launching a $5 million campaign to expand our programs and physical space, allowing us to provide more students with the resources they need to be leaders in the next generation workforce.

Increasingly, Project LEARN is recognized as an innovative leader for hands-on learning and college-and-career exploration. Just this year we’ve:

  • Brought 60 local professionals to meet with over 1,250 Lowell High students during Career Speaker Week;

  • Surprised 100 students with brand new laptops to keep as their own;

  • Installed 2 new murals, including one by 8 Lowell High students & their educator;

  • Provided 165 paid internships to high school students in high-demand fields like biotech, education, and healthcare; and

  • Hosted 250 future scientists in week-long STEAM workshops during IDEA Camp.

Looking towards the future, we're excited about our new 3,400-square-foot learning lab, and the opportunities it will provide Lowell’s young people. This space will
enhance our capacity to support students, but we can’t do it alone. Your financial support is needed now more than ever to reach this next milestone.

We hope you’ll consider supporting Project LEARN's next decade of programming, a pivotal effort in empowering the students, families, and future of our community.

Sincerely,

Brian Martin, Board Chairman & LZ Nunn, Executive Director
