LOWELL -- A crowd of more than 100 students, parents, teachers and community members came together with a goal of creating positive change and improving opportunities for students in Lowell Public Schools.
The second Your Voice Matters Community Action Forum on education, organized by the Lowell Education Alliance Resource Network or Project LEARN, that took place late last month.
"A forum like this is a great way for teachers to hear community feedback and concerns," stated Alexander Desrosiers, a middle school English Language Learner teacher at the Stoklosa Middle School, in a press release about the forum.
Since the start of the three-year project in early 2017, the Your Voice Matters coalition has hosted two community-wide forums and 14 community circles across Lowell.
